Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez chooses Tranemo

for comfort, flexibility and performance

Since 2025, the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez has been equipping its workforce with Tranemo Workwear garments. What began as a need for improved workwear for waste collection personnel soon led to a broader rollout, and today around 60 employees wear Tranemo garments in their daily work.

The municipality’s employees can be seen wearing Tranemo Workwear while collecting waste from refuse trucks, carrying out road maintenance, and performing gardening and landscaping tasks throughout the municipality.

A safer and more comfortable working day

One of the municipality’s waste collection workers explains:

"My tasks include driving the waste collection truck and following the daily route assigned to us, which involves collecting waste from a number of containers. It is also our responsibility to ensure that these containers are properly closed to prevent accidents involving residents and users."

The transition to Tranemo Workwear has brought noticeable improvements in both comfort and safety.

"The Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez started using Tranemo Workwear garments a little over a year ago. Compared to the clothing we used previously, we now feel much more comfortable in these garments and, at the same time, much safer, especially because we are wearing high-visibility clothing."

Quality that lasts

Durability has also been an important factor in the municipality’s positive experience.

"In terms of durability, it quickly became clear that these are high-quality products. In addition, during the winter, the Shell rain jacket has been extremely useful, providing both protection and comfort in demanding weather conditions."

By choosing Tranemo Workwear, the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez has provided its employees with workwear that combines visibility, comfort and long-lasting quality, supporting them in their daily efforts to keep the municipality clean, safe and well maintained.
